How does the 7-day trial period work?

Last updated on 01 Dec, 2025

The first 7 days of the Xeropan trial are completely free and can be used 1 time. During these 7 days you can decide whether you want to become a PRO subscriber or not. If your subscription is not canceled by the 6th day, the card you have provided will be charged by the respective app store (Google, Apple) or the card provider that handles web payments (PayPal Braintree) with the price of the subscription.

You can cancel your subscription at any time during the trial period, but there is no refund after the 7-day trial period. Find out more about our terms and conditions and privacy policy!

Once you have clicked on the PRO package that is right for you, the different platforms will ask you to confirm your subscription before you make a purchase, highlighting here the conditions under which the service can be used.

The only reason to provide your credit card details in advance is so that Google, Apple and Paypal Braintree can verify that it is a real person who is initiating the sign-up.

Don't worry, you can still cancel your subscription during the trial period without any obligation to pay if you decide you don't want to become a PRO student.

However, if you decide that you still want to keep your PRO subscription, the card you provide will be charged by the relevant app store provider or web payment card provider (PayPal Braintree) for the price of the subscription.

If you sign up successfully, you will receive an email from the Google Play Store, App Store or Xeropan. The emails will let you know when the free trial period has started and when it expires, and if no cancellations are made during this period, the subscription will be automatically activated when the trial period expires. The emails will also tell you how to cancel your subscription.

Good to know!:

The email will be sent to the email address you're signed in with in the Google Play Store (for Google Play purchases), the App Store (for App Store purchases), or the email address associated with the Google, Facebook or Apple account you use to sign in to Xeropan (for web purchases).

Canceling a subscription:

If you change your mind and decide to cancel your subscription, you can do so on the platform where you started it.

  • Google Play: Log in via your Android device and follow the steps in this: Guide to unsubscribe via Google Play!

  • App Store: Sign in to your App Store account and follow the steps in this: Guide to unsubscribe via the App Store! Unfortunately, Apple does not give developers the option to modify subscriptions from the App Store. So if you experience any problems canceling a subscription created from your iOS device, please contact Apple Customer Service!

  • Web: Log in to the Xeropan web interface, then go to ⚙️ (Settings button, bottom left corner) → Further Options → Xeropan PRO → Cancel subscription and click on the button to cancel your subscription!

If you need further help with opting out, our next FAQ post may be useful: How can I cancel my subscription?

If you've already cancelled your subscription, you can still benefit from PRO features until the end of the 7-day trial period, at the end of which you can continue to use the app as a free user. Free users get 5 minutes of focused learning per day, designed for punctuality, habit formation and a bite to learn. Switch to PRO for the full experience!

Good to know!:

Unfortunately, Google, Apple and Paypal Braintree only allow you to use the 7-day trial period once, so if you've already used the trial period, you'll be notified by Google Play and App Store.

Once you have clicked on the PRO package that is right for you, the different platforms will ask you to confirm your subscription before you can make a purchase, highlighting the conditions under which the service is available. See screenshots below:
