3. What is included in the course?

Xeropan's Vaterinary English course consists of four main modules covering the following topics:

  • Veterinary Science Concepts
  • Clinical Practice and Diagnosis
  • Communication and Language Skills

4. The focus of language course

  • Anatomy, physiology, behavior and ethology, nutrition and dietetics, 
  • genetics and breeding, diagnosis and exams, pharmacology, surgical procedures, disease management, emerging technologies, medical technology, 
  • patient record-keeping, client communication ethics, cross-cultural

5. How is the course structured and how long does it take to complete?

  • The average number of terms learned during the training is 2000-2500.
  • You first define a term and then practice its meaning and pronunciation.
  • With the help of artificial intelligence and using a microphone, specialized language skills can be developed in realistic and spontaneous speaking situations. For example, in the veterinary English module, students can simulate presenting health assessments or demonstrating veterinary treatments, similar to a real veterinary environment.
  • The curriculum has been broken down into smaller chunks of around 15-20 minutes to make efficient use of the day's downtime.
  • On average, it takes about 4 months to complete a language course.

6. Do I need any prior qualifications to take the course?

The course builds on basic knowledge and assumes a minimum level of B1+ (at least intermediate) in general English language knowledge.
